Prerequisite: Cell Biology. Introduces students to the developmental process in animals beginning with the formation of gametes through the embryonic stages, birth, maturation and aging. Anatomical development, experimental embryology and the molecular mechanisms of cell differentiation will be covered. Laboratory techniques in developmental biology including animal cell and tissue cultures will be utilized.
