Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education. Must be taken concurrently with EDUC 3272. An introduction to curriculum and assessment with an emphasis on basic ideas for understanding curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. This course explores ways for secondary educators to implement instruction within a full range of student abilities. Teacher candidates will examine and analyze the state standards, local curriculum documents, and published curricula. Teacher candidates will focus on assessment development, use, and interpretation in the classroom setting. (F)
