Prerequisite: MGIS 3351. Examines the process of developing business information systems. Topics include requirements specification, systems modeling, and systems design techniques in the context of the Systems Development Life Cycle. Structured approaches and techniques such as Data Flow Diagrams are emphasized. Object-oriented approaches and techniques including UML are also introduced. A major component of the course is the analysis and design of a business system as a term project.
