Prerequisite: MGIS 3351 or concurrent. Introduces the student to fundamental computer programming concepts. Emphasizes solving business type problems using both procedural and object-oriented languages. Topics include the three major constructs of all programming languages, designing, writing and testing programs that perform input and output, arithmetic operations, decision-making, iteration, abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism.
