Introduces study of racial and ethnic relations in the United States, with emphasis on the historic and social development of the concept of race in the United States and how different beliefs and perceptions about "race," ethnicity and culture havebeen constructed. As well, the course will examine the histories, experiences and cultures of the various "races" and ethnicities that make up American society. (F,S,M)
