Description:

The student will spend 12 hours per week in a field setting related to his/her addiction/substance abuse counselor specialty track. The student will have the opportunity for direct client contact and will, under supervision, enhance skills in interviewing, observing, reporting, and assessing client needs. The student will be required to participate in a one hour weekly seminar which will focus on integrating these applied experiences with classroom learning. Corequisite: None.
