Description:
This course provides a fundamental foundation for the profession of nursing. The adult learner will be exposed to patient centered care model, teamwork, evidence-based practice, and informatics with an emphasis on quality improvement. Principles of medication calculation and safe administration are emphasized. Development of personal responsibility and ethical behavior related to the performance of basic nursing skills will be acquired through supervised lab performance and selected clinical rotations. Prerequisites: Admission to the Health Care Professional Bridge and BIOL 2111K. Corequisite: NURS 2313 Offered: Fall B Term Annually.
