Description:
This course is designed to introduce the student to the fundamental skills involved in canoeing. The student will have the opportunity to experience paddling strokes of various difficulties in a variety of fixed and moving water. This course will be taught in cooperation with the Flint River Outpost. This course will focus on the technical aspects of canoe paddling, reading hydraulic features, canoeing nomenclature, and will address other issues such as environmental care, individual and group leadership, and team building. Prerequisites: None. Offered: On demand.
