Advisory: English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273. Three hours lecture. Introduction to the range of business practices used by artists and designers in the visual communications industry. Emphasis will be placed on legal rights and issues as they relate to the professional artist/client relationship. Topics will include pricing and marketing, salaries and trade customs, standard contracts and new technology issues.
