(Formerly Automotive Technology 64A and 64B.) Advisory: Automotive Technology 50B; English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273; Mathematics 212 or equivalent. Nine hours lecture per week. One hundred eight hours lecture per quarter. Repair and rebuilding of engine cylinder heads and block components, engine assembly and testing. Includes theory, diagnosis, disassembly, cleaning, inspection and failure analysis. Preparation for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) examinations for areas A1 and M1, M2, and M3.
