Advisory: Automotive Technology 50A, 50B, 60 and 60A; English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273; Mathematics 212 or equivalent. Four and one-half hours lecture per week. Fifty-four hours lecture per quarter. Application of computer control principles to automotive systems. Operation of automotive electronic control systems, including commonly used sensors, actuators, and displays. Introduction to diagnostic methods and test equipment for automotive electronic control systems. Preparation for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) examination in Areas A6, A8, and L1.
