Prerequisite: Arts 55A and 55B; or demonstration of appropriate technical abilities suitable to course level. Six hours lecture-laboratory. Introductory course in the preparation of art for reproduction on the printed page, interactive media, and the World Wide Web. Emphasis is placed on specific studio procedures as well as computer production alternatives used by professionals in the field of graphic design. Software used includes Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Flash.
