Advisory: Automotive Technology 50A, 50B, 60, 60A, 60B, 60C, 60D, and 60E; English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273; Mathematics 212 or equivalent. Four and one-half yours lecture per week. Fifty-four hours lecture per quarter. Survey of onboard diagnostic systems from 1980 to the present. Advanced electronic diagnostic procedures using an automotive scan tool. Preparation for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) examination in areas A6, A8, and L1.
