Advisory: Automotive Technology 60, 60A, and 60B; English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273; Mathematics 212 or equivalent. Two hour lecture per week. Twenty-four hours lecture per quarter. Review of On-board Diagnostics Generation I (OBDI). Extensive coverage of Onboard Diagnostics Generation II (OBDII) operating system, testing procedures and strategies. Preparation for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) examination in areas A6, A8, L1, and Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) technician update requirements.
