Prerequisite: Automotive Technology 50B; approved Automotive Technology Course Sequence Contract. Advisory: English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273; Mathematics 212 or equivalent. Ten hours lecture-laboratory per week. One hundred twenty hours lecturelaboratory per quarter. Shop operations specific to engine repair and rebuilding including safety and hazardous waste management. Emphasis on theory, diagnosis, disassembly, cleaning, inspection and failure analysis.
