Advisory: Computer Information Systems 67B; Computer Information Systems 26A or 15AG; English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273. Five hours lecture. The architecture and underlying protocols of the Internet. The Internet will be examined as a layered product. Layers discussed will include mid-level packet delivery and address computation and high-level client/server applications using the TCP/IP Protocol Suite.
