Prerequisite: Must be in a job related to declared occupational program/ educational goal. Concurrent enrollment limited to one other course. Fifty hours of paid employment per quarter for each unit of credit. (May be taken until 24 units of COOP have been earned.) Assess career/life development and work activities by introduction to the concept of career paths within occupational choices, and awareness of cultural/global diversity and generational differences in the work environment. Learning/performance objectives agreed upon by the student and employer will be identified and carried out. View objectives in terms of a planned series of experiences. Participation in COOP will assist the student in planning activities that will facilitate the confirming or denying of current academic or career choice.
