Prerequisite: English Writing 200 and Reading 200 (or Language Arts 200), or English as a Second Language 261, 262 and 263 with a grade of C or better; or qualifying score on the English as a Second Language placement test. Corequisite: English as a Second Language 273 students must also enroll in English as a Second Language 226; and may also enroll in English as a Second Language 272. Five hours lecture. Principles of paragraph and short essay writing.
