Advisory: English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273. One hour lecture, one additional hour to be arranged in the Kirsch Center Resource Center or the Cheeseman Environmental Study Area. Explore the role of environmental citizenship including personal responsibility and participation in local environmental case studies along the 37th parallel. Develop an understanding of environmental stewardship principles, including those of other cultural, ethnic and gender groups, and the use of such practices in establishing common ground for community-based decision-making.
