Prerequisite: Health Technologies 50 (may also be taken concurrently). (Those enrolled in De Anza College's Health Technology Programs must complete pre/corequisite; those not enrolled in Health Technology Programs do not need to complete pre/corequisite.) Three hours lecture, one additional hour to be arranged. Orientation to medical terminology; basic structure of medical terms and their components-prefixes, suffixes and roots with emphasis on analysis, definition, spelling and pronunciation.
