Corequisite: Health Technology 84A students must also enroll in Health Technology 84. Four and one-half hours lecture, one additional hour to be arranged in the Allied Health or Science Center Resource Center. Introduces the student to the basic principles of antigen and antibody reactions included in blood grouping and typing, compatibility testing and serological procedures. Introduces serological and immunohematology procedures and techniques to measure analytes qualitatively and quantitatively. Admission to the MLT Program is necessary prior to registration. Successful completion of this course and Health Technology 84 is required prior to enrollment in Clinical Immunology/ Immunohematology Practicum, Health Technology 184.
