(Formerly Manufacturing and Design Technology 62A.) Advisory: English Writing 200 and Reading 200 (or Language Arts 200), or English as a Second Language 261, 262 and 263. Four hours lecture-laboratory. The application of fundamental mathematics to various fields of technology including machining, automotive, sheet metal, and similar disciplines. Review and development of arithmetic skills, introduction of basic algebraic concepts and metric conversion. The use of a scientific calculator in problem solving will be emphasized.
