Prerequisite: Nursing 84, 84C, and 84L, all courses with a grade of C or better. Corequisite: Nursing 85L students must also enroll in Nursing 85, 85A, and 85AL. Seven and one-half hours laboratory. Pass-No Pass (P-NP) course. Application of concepts learned in the theory class will occur in acute care settings. Students will be working with clients demonstrating acute health deviations. The nursing process and Orem's conceptual model will be utilized in caring for unstable clients on a medical-surgical unit.
