Prerequisite: Vietnamese 3, or demonstrated proficiency in the language competency description for level three. Five hours lecture, one hour laboratory. Reading and discussion of texts dealing with the literature, arts, geography, history and the culture of the Vietnamese-speaking world. Review of the linguistic functions and grammar structure of first-year Vietnamese. Development of reading, writing, speaking and listening at the first intermediate level.
