Description:

An introduction to the fundamental principles of chemistry. The nature and types of chemical reactions and the mass and energy relationships accompanying chemical changes will be emphasized. Three lectures and a two-hour laboratory per week. The laboratory emphasizes basic techniques in quantitative and qualitative analysis. Prerequisite: MTH 151 or placement above MTH 151 on the Math assessment test. Lab Fee: $75. Offered every fall semester. Fulfills general education lab science elective requirement.
