(Formerly Russian 2.) (See general education pages for the requirement this course meets.) Prerequisite: Russian 91. Advisory: English Writing 200 and Reading 200 (or Language Arts 200), or English as a Second Language 261, 262 and 263. Five hours lecture, one hour laboratory to be arranged. Further development of material presented in Russian 91. Continuation of introduction to the language and culture of Russian Federation. Elementary speaking, listening, reading, and writing of Russian will be continued and practiced within a cultural framework. Emphasis will be on language as an expression of culture. Language laboratory will be practiced to reinforce pronunciation, grammar, syntax, and simple conversation.
