Provides the basic mathematics skills including a review of fundamental operations of arithmetic and a discussion of fractions, percents and decimals, as well as the applications of basic concepts to the solutions of problems. This course introduces the student to algebraic essentials necessary in College Algebra (MTH 151). Topics include variable expressions, linear equations and graphs, polynomials, factoring, polynomial equations and rational expressions. Placement by math assessment only. Offered every semester. Fulfills general education math elective requirement.
