Prerequisite: Vietnamese 4, or demonstrated proficiency in the language competency description for level four. Five hours lecture, one hour laboratory. Continuation of Vietnamese 4. Reading and discussion of texts, dealing with the literature, arts, and culture of the Vietnamese-speaking world. More review of the linguistic functions and grammar structures of first-year Vietnamese. Development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills at the second intermediate level.
