Corequisites: EMS 126, EMS 127, EMS 128, EMS 129 Prerequisites/Corequisites: AHS 1011, ENG 1010, MAT 1012, SCT 100 This module provides for supervised experience that meets Georgia Department of Human Resources Office of EMS requirements for providing patient care in the hospital and pre-hospital settings. Emphasis is placed on the assessment and management of medical and trauma emergencies in adult and pediatric patient populations. Ethical, legal and moral ramifications of providing such are is also examined. This module will be delivered in one to five quarters in accordance with program and hospital affiliation agreements. Clinical opportunities will be available in critical care, emergency department, pediatrics, labor & delivery, operating room, psychiatric care, and EMS to meet the minimum regulatory requirements for occupational based instruction.
