Prerequisites: EMS 126, EMS 127, EMS 128, EMS 129, MAT 1012 Corequisites: EMS 130, EMS 133, EMS 134 Prerequisites/Corequisites: AHS 1011, ENG 1010, SCT 100 Emphasis is placed on the study of the cardiovascular system. Specifically, the topics of cardiovascular epidemiology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology and electrophysiology. Topics to be covered include, but not limited to, initial cardiovascular assessment, focused history, detailed physical examination, diagnostic electrocardiography and electrocardiographic monitoring. Management and treatment of the cardiac/cardiovascular patient will be taught in Cardiology II.
