Prerequisites: EMS 126, EMS 127, EMS 128, EMS 129, EMS 130, EMS 131, EMS 132, EMS 133, EMS 134, EMS 135, EMS 200A, MAT 1012 Corequisite: EMS 136, EMS 200B Prerequisites/Corequisites: AHS 1011, ENG 1010, SCT 100 This course occurs near the conclusion of the program. This is the final opportunity to integrate didactic, psychomotor skills and clinical instruction into the EMS leadership phase. In EMS leadership the student will be measured on how they perform as an entry-level paramedic. Classroom and lab performances will center on two-person teams were each student is assessed on assessment, initial resuscitation, scene choreography, treatment and patient presentation skills. This course includes summative case evaluations in the areas of trauma, medical and pediatrics. An oral examination will be administered as well as a comprehensive examination in EKG interpretation, pharmacology, trauma, medical, pediatric, obstetrical and gynecologic emergencies. A board examination review is also included.
