Prerequisites: Program Admission; AHS 1011, AHS 104, AHS 109, PSY 1010, ENG 1101, MAT 1013, SCT 100 with a minimum grade of "C" in each course Corequisite: AHS 102, AHS 103 This course is an introduction to the nursing process. Topics include orientation to the profession, ethics and law, community health, client care, which is defined as using the nursing process, performing assessments, using critical thinking, and providing client education, and includes principles and skills of nursing practice, documentation, and an introduction to physical assessment; geriatrics; customer/client relationships, and standard precautions.
