Prerequisites: Program admission, AHS 1011, AHS 104, AHS 109, ENG 1010, MAT 1012, PSY 1010, SCT 100, with a minimum grade of "C" Corequisites: SUR 101, SUR 109 This course introduces the student to patient care concepts and practices and provides continued study of surgical team participation. Topics include: patient care concepts such as preoperative routine, positioning, preparation, draping, and related nursing procedures; introduction to pharmacology; and supplies and equipment.
