Prerequisites: AHS 1011, AHS 104, AHS 109, ENG 1010, MAT 1012, PSY 1010, SCT 100, SUR 101, SUR 102, SUR 108, SUR 109, SUR 110, SUR 112 with a minimum grade of "C" Corequisite: SUR 203 This course continues development of surgical team participation through clinical experience. Emphasis is placed on observation of and/or participation in routine procedures and procedures for general and specialty surgery. Topics include: assistance, scrubbing, and circulation on routine procedures; and participation in/or observation of surgical teams involved with general, gastrointestinal, obstetrical and gynecological, genitourinary, head and neck surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery.
