Beginning Algebra is intended for students who need a foundation in, or to review the general topics related to Algebra. Topics covered include operations with fractions, signed numbers, solving equations, factoring, linear equations and polynomials. A grade of C or better is required for entrance into MAT 100, 109, 118 or 131. NOTE: MAT 091 is a credit equivalent course. Equivalent credits do not satisfy degree requirements and are not calculated in a student¿s grade point average, but they do incur tuition charges and they do count towards full-time/part-time status. Any student who has successfully completed the Math A Regents should not take MAT 091.
