1 semester, 3 credits This course introduces students to the basic statistical methods used to support problem-solving and decisionmaking in business and economics. Emphasis is placed upon understanding elementary concepts and procedures which include: descriptive statistics, basic probability rules, discrete and continuous probability distributions, the central limit theorem, hypothesis testing, regression, and correlation. Prerequisite: MTH 108 or equivalent.
