Relationship of living organisms to the environment, including human impact on the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and biosphere. Emphasis is placed on understanding of biological and physical science issues currently faced by society; an interdisciplinary course. Includes physical sciences laboratory and field investigation of ecosystems and the environment. May not be taken concurrently with or after Biol 37. No credit if taken after Biol 40. Total of 54 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC credit limitations. See counselor.
