Recommended preparation: PEAct 3B or American Red Cross Level IV Lifesaving certificate. Strokes included will be elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and sidestroke. Front crawl and back crawl for increased distances. Diving from the side of the pool, turns, and CPR are introduced. Total of 54 hours laboratory. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC credit limitations.
