Prerequisite: Photo 30. Recommended preparation: Photo 25 or Photo 26 or equivalent. Exploration of experimental and new technological approaches to creating original visual imagery for use in design, fine arts, animation, and interactive multimedia. Introduction to the integration of sound, graphics, video, and text on the desktop. Investigation of non-linear post-production (Adobe Premier) utilizing QuickTime basics. Introduction to compositing in a post-production suite (Adobe AfterEffects) to create movies, animation, and professional special effects for digital output to film, videotape, CD-ROM or other digital media. Overview of career opportunities. Recommended enrollment in Art 110B. Maximum credit 6 units, 3 units each semester. Total of 36 hours lecture and 72 hours laboratory.
