Per Senate Bill 1442 (Rainey) student must be cleared by the California Department of Justice through the fingerprinting process before enrollment in course is allowed. Firearms safety, handgun familiarization, care and cleaning. Shooting principles, and firing at a range. Course partially meets Penal Code 832 and Level III Reserve Officer Training requirements, but does not meet the Administration of Justice certificate of achievement requirements. Short term class.
