Specific topics are chosen by the instructor and may include chemistry and pollution, the chemistry of home care and personal products, consumer chemistry, food chemistry, the chemistry of water and water pollution, the chemistry of air and air pollution, the chemistry of earth, hazardous wastes, radioactivity, and alternative energy. 3 class hours and 3 laboratory hours
