This course investigates one of the seminal decades in modern American history. In this ten-year period, events and movements of particular importance occurred which continue to impact in contemporary life. Some of the topics to be examined include the civil rights movement, the assassinations of several prominent leaders, the moon landing, the Vietnam War and the new signifi cance of popular culture in American life.
