Topics concerned with current issues in Biology as related to cells, genetics, organisms, ecology, taxonomy, ethics, and methods of scientific inquiry. A special project or report is required. Meets General Education requirements for A.A. degree programs and science options (A.S. in science degree programs) as specified in the College catalog for BS 101. 3 hours lecture; 3 hours laboratory and field trip Prerequisites: high school biology, chemistry, and physics; college-level Test placement in math, reading, and English; acceptance into Honors Program.
