This course provides an ongoing and expanded clinical experience including proficiency in oral prophylaxis, radiographic techniques, expanded functions, root planing, dietary analysis, and pharmacologic agents. The care of patients with special dental needs is addressed. Student achievement in this course is graded according to the scale outlined in the Grading section of the syllabus. Lab fee and proof of professional liability insurance required. 247.5 clinical and laboratory hours. Prerequisites: DEH 2802L, and DES 1100C. Corequisites: DEH 2005, DEH 2702 and DES 2050.
