This course will introduce the profession of radiologic technology to the student. The history of radiology, basic imaging equipment and radiographic examinations, organizational structure of a radiology department, and professional development is the primary focus of this course.The student will also be introduced tomedical terminology, radiation safety, and film processing and image production. Proof of professional liability insurance required. 30 class hours. Prerequisite: Admission to the Radiography program.
