1 semester, 3 credits ( Social Science Core) Epidemiology studies the determinants of health and disease from a population perspective. Students are introduced to research methods and the interpretation of quantitative analyses of health data. Community health is presented as the outcome of a complex of ecological relationships that generate the need for health services.The production of data for health services planning and evaluation is emphasized. Prerequisite: HPM 101.
