( 1) Students apply the nursing process concepts of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in the area of psychosocial needs. They learn openended data gathering and relationship development techniques that meet clients' psychosocial needs at the same time the students are meeting their own professional need of compiling a broad accurate database. Students explore the nature and goals of the professional relationship and learn open-ended techniques to use in each phase to insure that care is client-centered. Co-requisite: NUR 180.
