( 4EQ) This course is designed for students who have no previous exposure to algebra. The skills and applications component provides students with an opportunity to practice newly acquired skills and use these skills to solve practical problems. Topics include: Real number systems, algebraic operations, linear equations, coordinate systems, powers and roots, polynomials and factoring. Prerequisite: Arithmetic skills or students with no prior knowledge of Algebra.
