The second course in a two-semester sequence of intermediate algebra and trigonometry with technical applications. Topics include exponents and radicals, exponential and logarithmic functions, ratio, proportion and variation, oblique triangles, graphs of sine and cosine functions, complex numbers and their applications inequalities, introduction to statistics and a non-rigorous introduction to calculus. A scientific calculator and computer software will be used throughout the course. Open to Telecommunications Technology majors only. This course is not applicable as an elective for any other degree granting program. Prerequisites: MAT 106.
