Historical and contemporary viewpoints as to the causes of crime are discussed and debated to allow the student a complete understanding of the complex question as to "how the offender should be treated." Socialfactors, crime in the community, and cross-cultural references are presented along with case studies of criminals and their motivation for behavior. Prerequisite: ENG and RDG placement must be at college-level or Permission of Instructor.
